Choose Wati if your main need is WhatsApp marketing: broadcast campaigns, chatbot flows and many ready integrations, with AI agents as a separately billed add-on. Choose Yusr if you want an AI employee included in the plan that answers from your catalogue and files, takes confirmed orders, and replies to voice notes in Arabic dialects, starting free.
What is Wati, and what is Yusr?
Wati describes itself as a platform for growing sales through conversations, built for marketing, sales and support teams. It started on WhatsApp and, as of October 2026, its website says one inbox can also hold website messages, Instagram, Facebook, SMS, email and calls. Its main tools are a shared team inbox, chatbot flows, keyword auto-replies and broadcast campaigns. Its AI agent, called Astra, is a separate product with its own plans.
Yusr is an AI employee for customer conversations. It answers customers on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, LINE, Viber, SMS and email, using the business's own prices, products and documents. It takes orders and bookings, saves every customer as a scored lead, understands voice notes, and hands hard chats to a person with a summary. It is made by Slenfeh Trading Company in Riyadh and serves businesses in any language.

Where is Wati stronger than Yusr?
Wati's strength is the marketing side of WhatsApp. If your plan is to send promotions to a large contact list, Wati is the more complete tool today.
- Broadcast campaigns: Wati is built to send targeted WhatsApp campaigns and track them. Yusr can also send a WhatsApp campaign to up to 1,000 numbers at a time, but large broadcast lists and campaign tracking are Wati's focus, not Yusr's.
- Chatbot flows: Wati's flow builder suits businesses that want fixed menus and buttons, with the AI agent plugged in as one step.
- Integrations: Wati says it connects to more than 100 apps, including a Shopify integration as a paid add-on. Yusr connects through webhooks, n8n, Google Calendar and its API, and its Shopify app is marked as coming soon.
- Calls and voice agents: Astra offers spoken voice agents on WhatsApp and the web. Yusr replies to voice notes but does not take calls.
- Track record: Yusr started in 2026. Wati says on its website that it serves more than 16,000 customers, and some buyers will prefer a larger vendor.
Where is Yusr stronger than Wati?
Yusr is the better fit when the main job is answering customers well, not sending campaigns.
- The AI is part of every plan, including Free. You don't buy an AI product on the side or manage a second set of credits.
- It sells from real data. Prices and stock come from your catalogue, totals are calculated, not guessed, and an order is recorded only after the customer says yes.
- Arabic dialects and voice notes. You choose the dialect for Arabic replies, every voice note is transcribed on every plan, and from Basic up it can answer a voice note with a voice note in a local dialect.
- More channels for the AI. The same employee answers on Telegram, LINE, Viber and email as well as WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
- A free plan and a lower start. You can test it with real customers for $0, and paid plans start at $49 a month.
What will each one really cost you?
Compare the total, not the headline. With Wati, add the inbox plan, any extra users ($49 a month each on Pro), Astra if you want AI answers, and Astra credits as you use them. With Yusr, the plan price includes the AI and a set number of seats; if you run past your monthly conversations, extra ones cost $0.06 each on Starter and Basic and $0.045 on Business and Scale.
One cost is the same whichever tool you use. On WhatsApp's official platform, Meta charges you for the template messages you send to start or reopen a conversation, and since October 1, 2026 it also charges for service replies beyond the 1,000 free per number each month. Wati takes these fees from a prepaid balance. On Yusr they are paid to Meta. Neither tool can make them disappear.
How do you switch from Wati to Yusr?
You can run both side by side for a week before you move fully. A simple order:
- Create a free Yusr account and connect a channel you are not using in Wati, such as Instagram or Telegram, to test it with real customers.
- Upload the same price lists, policies and FAQs you gave Astra, and import your products by CSV.
- Export your contacts from your current tool if it allows it, and import them into Yusr by CSV.
- Re-create your WhatsApp templates in Yusr and submit them to Meta for approval.
- Check with your current provider how to release your WhatsApp number, then connect it to Yusr through Meta's official platform.
Which should you choose?
Pick Wati if WhatsApp marketing is the centre of your plan: big broadcast lists, button-based flows, many app integrations, or voice agents that take calls.
Pick Yusr if you want customers answered well in their own language around the clock, with real prices, confirmed orders, bookings and voice-note replies, and you would rather pay one plan that includes the AI. The free plan lets you find out with real customers before you pay.
Questions people ask
Is Yusr a good Wati alternative?
For AI customer service, yes. Yusr includes an AI employee in every plan that answers from your catalogue and documents, takes confirmed orders and replies to voice notes. If you mainly send WhatsApp marketing campaigns, Wati is still the stronger tool for that.
Does Wati include an AI agent in its plans?
As of October 2026, Wati's pricing page lists its Astra AI agents as billed separately. Astra has its own plans: a free plan limited to a web widget in English, Pro at $99 a month, and Business at $399 a month.
Which is cheaper, Yusr or Wati?
Yusr starts lower: a free plan with 10 conversations a month, then $49 a month. Wati's Growth plan was $119 a month billed yearly on the pricing page we viewed, before any AI add-on. The cheaper choice still depends on your volume, so compare the plan that fits your month.
Do both tools charge Meta's WhatsApp fees?
Meta's fees apply on the official WhatsApp platform whichever tool you use. Since October 1, 2026 that includes service replies beyond 1,000 free per number each month, as well as template messages. Wati deducts them from a prepaid balance; with Yusr they are paid to Meta.
Can Yusr reply in Arabic dialects?
Yes. It replies in the customer's language and you choose the dialect for Arabic, such as Gulf, Levantine or Egyptian. On Basic and up it can also answer voice notes with a voice in Modern Standard Arabic or one of nine regional dialects.
